What is Round Up?

People who want to support YWCA Cass Clay sign up to give spare change by automatically rounding up your credit/debit card purchases to the nearest dollar; once the change hits a minimum contribution it will be automatically donated to YWCA Cass Clay.

For example, on a purchase of $12.13, the remaining 87 cents would be donated. It’s a safe and easy way to give and tracks your impact as you go.

What are the steps to sign up?

    2. Do I have to pay to sign up?

There is no sign-up cost to Round Up your change, however, you do have the option of paying the transaction fee for your gift to be transferred to YWCA Cass Clay.

Do I have control over my card and giving?

Yes! Once you sign up you are given access to your own Donor Dashboard. From here you have access to update your bank or card information, change your password, alter min/max amounts, change receipt frequency, view giving history, etc…

Why am I being asked to log into my bank account and credit/debit card?

By logging in to your credit/debit cards, you give the system the ability to track your purchases and round up to the nearest dollar. Without this information, there is no way to calculate your digital spare change. By logging in to your bank account you allow the system to transfer the sum of your Round Up directly from your bank to YWCA; minimizing transaction fees. Your login credentials are never stored by our system.

To ensure Round Up is working properly your settings must show a bank/card stored under the Round Up header and Payment Method.

Are my donations secure and how is data handled?

The security of your information is of highest concern. The system uses bank-grade security to handle all sensitive financial data. Online banking credentials are never stored on the system. All data is secured with SSL encryption and multi-factor authentication and personal identifiers ensure unwanted access is prevented. Your personal data will never be exchanged, licensed or sold and all transactions are anonymized to ensure privacy.

What if I would like to pause or set a limit on my contributions?

You can pause donations at any time by logging into your account and visiting your Donation Settings. You can also set a monthly limit. Round Up donations will halt once your contributions reach your monthly cap.

How does this work?

If your minimum donation is set to $5, but your monthly Round Up's have only reached $4.25, the additional $0.75 will be automatically withdrawn from the associated card.

If your maximum donation is set to $30, but your monthly Round Up’s have totaled $32.00, you will only see $30 total deducted from your associated card.

When is my account charged?

Round Ups are tallied until they reach $5. Once $5 is reached, the donation is triggered. This way, your bank statement doesn’t become overwhelmed with micro-charges.

Will I get a tax receipt?

You will receive an emailed donation summary including tax information at the end of each month; however, you can also log into your Donor Dashboard at any time to review your giving history.

Can I connect more than one card?

Yes, you can. When you login to your bank during the sign up process you will be presented with a list of available cards and accounts. You cannot however connect multiple cards from multiple card issuers/banks. The cards must be from a single card issuer.
